Active & Welcoming

A Vibrant Life of Faith

At St. Michael's Parish, faith is not a private matter — it is a shared journey. Our parish offers a rich array of programs, ministries, and sacramental celebrations that invite parishioners of every age and background to grow deeper in their relationship with God and with one another. Whether you are a young family, a teenager, a senior, or someone returning to the faith, there is a place for you here.

What We Offer

Ministries & Programs

Sunday Mass & Liturgy

The celebration of the Eucharist is the source and summit of our parish life. Sunday Mass is held weekly at 10:00 AM, with additional weekday Masses and special celebrations during Advent, Christmas, Lent, Holy Week, Easter, and other liturgical seasons. All are warmly welcomed to participate in the richness of our Catholic liturgical tradition.

💧

Sacramental Programs

St. Michael's Parish celebrates all seven sacraments of the Catholic faith. We offer dedicated preparation programs for Baptism, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, and Marriage. The Anointing of the Sick is administered to the ill and elderly. Confession is available regularly. Contact the parish office to inquire about sacramental preparation for yourself or your family.

🌟

Youth Ministry

Our youth ministry provides a dynamic and welcoming space for teens and young adults to explore their faith, develop leadership skills, and build lasting friendships. Through bi-weekly meetings, community service projects, retreat opportunities, and social events, we accompany young people on their journey of faith during the most formative years of their lives.

💌

Women's Ministry

The Catholic Women's League chapter at St. Michael's is a vibrant community of women who gather for prayer, fellowship, and service. Monthly meetings include spiritual reflection, community service planning, and social activities. The CWL has been a cornerstone of our parish life for decades, and welcomes all women parishioners to join their sisterhood of faith and action.

Men's Ministry

The men of St. Michael's Parish gather regularly for faith sharing, service projects, and fellowship. Inspired by the tradition of Catholic fraternal organizations, our men's ministry encourages members to grow as husbands, fathers, sons, and community leaders. Men's ministry events include work projects, spiritual retreats, and social gatherings for parishioners and their families.

📚

Children's Faith Formation

Our children's faith formation program provides religious education for children from kindergarten through the sacramental years. Sunday school classes, seasonal programs, and Vacation Bible School give children a solid foundation in the Catholic faith in a joyful, engaging environment. We work closely with parents — the primary educators of their children — to support faith at home and at church.

Prayer & Devotion

St. Michael's offers multiple opportunities for prayer beyond Sunday Mass. The Rosary is prayed communally on a regular basis. Eucharistic Adoration provides a space for quiet, personal encounter with Christ. Prayer intention books are available in the church, and our prayer chain network connects parishioners who are facing illness, loss, or other challenges with the intercessory prayers of the community.

Senior Ministry

Our senior parishioners are treasured members of the St. Michael's community. Our senior ministry provides regular home visits, the delivery of Holy Communion to those unable to attend Mass, and social gatherings that combat isolation and build connection. We are committed to ensuring that every senior parishioner on Bell Island knows they are loved, remembered, and valued.
