From weekly Mass to seasonal celebrations, youth nights to community potlucks, St. Michael's Parish offers a calendar full of opportunities to worship, grow, serve, and celebrate together. All are welcome — come join us!
The celebration of the Holy Eucharist is the heart of our parish life. All parishioners and visitors are warmly invited to join us every Sunday morning. Special liturgies are celebrated during Advent, Christmas, Lent, Holy Week, Easter, Pentecost, and other seasons of the liturgical year.
St. Michael's Parish celebrates all Holy Days of Obligation throughout the liturgical year, including the Solemnity of Mary (January 1), the Ascension of the Lord, the Assumption of Mary (August 15), All Saints' Day (November 1), the Immaculate Conception (December 8), and Christmas Day (December 25). Mass times are announced in advance.
A welcoming gathering for teens and young adults to explore faith, build friendships, engage in community service, and have fun. Youth Group Night includes faith sharing, games, occasional guest speakers, and planning for service projects and social events. Open to all youth aged 13–25.
The Catholic Women's League chapter at St. Michael's meets monthly for prayer, fellowship, and planning. All women parishioners are welcome. Meetings include a spiritual reflection, committee reports, and planning for upcoming service initiatives and social events.
Our beloved monthly potluck is a favourite tradition at St. Michael's — bring a dish to share, enjoy great food and conversation, and deepen your connections with fellow parishioners. Families, singles, seniors, and newcomers are all welcome. A wonderful evening of community and fellowship.
An exciting week-long summer program for children aged 4–12, featuring Bible stories, crafts, music, games, and new friendships. Vacation Bible School is a highlight of the summer for Bell Island children and families. Registration opens in late spring — watch for announcements.
The most beloved Mass of the year — Christmas Eve Midnight Mass at St. Michael's is a deeply moving celebration of the Nativity of Our Lord. The church is beautifully decorated, the choir sings traditional carols, and the community gathers in joy to welcome the Prince of Peace. All are warmly invited.
The Easter Triduum — Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday Easter Vigil, and Easter Sunday — is the pinnacle of the liturgical year. St. Michael's celebrates the full Triduum with reverence, music, and deep liturgical richness. Join us for this most sacred time in the Christian calendar.
